Thresholds: PDA Awareness Art Exhibition
Thresholds: A PDA Awareness Art Exhibition
December 6 • 10:00am–1:00pm • Mustard Seed Academy
Join us for Thresholds, a heartfelt Art Basel week exhibition honoring the creative voices of children with PDA. This intimate showcase highlights the space between autonomy and connection through artwork created by neurodivergent children of all ages in our community.
Featuring paintings, clay pieces, fabric art, mixed media, and sculptures, the exhibit invites visitors to witness the inner world of PDA — the nervous system stories, sensory experiences, and moments of protection and possibility expressed through art.
In addition to the exhibit, we will have art pieces and Mustard Seed merchandise available for sale to help raise funds for our programs and support our mission.
We welcome families, educators, and community members to experience this meaningful and empowering exhibition.

Illumination Seed Workshop: Felt Sensing — Embodied Co-Regulation
Led by Jacqui, Create Yourself Co.
Join us for our next Illumination Seed gathering, Felt Sensing: Embodied Co-Regulation — an experiential workshop that invites parents and caregivers into a gentle journey of embodied awareness and nervous system attunement.
Through the lens of Polyvagal Theory, the Felt Sense Polyvagal Model™, and co-regulation practices, Jacqui from Create Yourself Co. will guide us in exploring how felt sensing can help us recognize internal cues, cultivate a sense of safety, and deepen our relationships with our neurodivergent children.
Grounded in an understanding of PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance or Pervasive Drive for Autonomy) as an autonomic nervous system response, this workshop offers a compassionate Felt Safety Framework for reinterpreting resistance, autonomy, and connection through the body’s story.
In this space between co-regulation and neurodiversity-affirming presence, we’ll honor the body’s innate wisdom and rediscover connection and belonging — together.
✨ This is a free community event.
Spaces are limited, and we kindly ask that you RSVP only if you are committed to attending, as we deeply value everyone’s presence in our shared space.

Hilma Klint Inspired Art Class
Discover the subtle magic of abstraction in our Hilma af Klint–inspired art class, where you’ll work with her signature soft, ethereal palette and organic motifs—think gentle rose, dove gray, and pale gold. Guided projects include crafting shell-inspired geometric mandalas, layering translucent color-field paintings, intuitive “automatic” drawings, and contributing to a shared mural. Immerse yourself in symbolism, form, and mindfulness as you explore how shells, shapes, and soft hues can awaken new realms of creative expression.
