Learning Pod
The Knowledge Seed is a gentle, inclusive enrichment program designed for children ages 5–10 of all neurotypes, with a special emphasis on supporting PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance) profiles. Groups are thoughtfully curated to meet the needs of each learner and kept very small, with a maximum of 5 children.
Meeting once a week, it offers a low-demand, connection-centered environment that complements any homeschool journey. Led by PDA-aware educators, our days weave together literacy development, storytelling, nature exploration, and creative, hands-on art projects—always at a child’s own pace, with space for autonomy, imagination, and curiosity.

Fall Open Play
These sessions are designed as a relaxed, child-led opportunity for kids ages 5–10 to explore our space at their own pace. Children can build, create, imagine, or simply enjoy the freedom of unstructured play in a supportive and welcoming environment.

Social Group Teens
Social Roots is a supportive group designed to help teens grow stronger connections — with themselves and with others. Each session blends:
Social skill building through role-play, real-life scenarios, and guided practice.
Nervous system activities that teach tools for self-regulation, stress management, and confidence.
Movement, improv, and creative challenges that make learning active, engaging, and teen-centered.
Hands-on projects like paper-making, collaborative art, and nature-inspired activities that foster focus, teamwork, and self-expression.

Illumination Seed
Illumination Seed Workshop: The Power of Declarative Language
Join us for our next Illumination Seed gathering led by our BCBA, Ashley. Together, we’ll explore how using declarative language can support connection, reduce resistance, and create more collaborative interactions with children. This workshop offers practical strategies and gentle guidance to help parents and caregivers shift communication patterns in ways that foster understanding and strengthen relationships.

Hilma Klint Inspired Art Class
Discover the subtle magic of abstraction in our Hilma af Klint–inspired art class, where you’ll work with her signature soft, ethereal palette and organic motifs—think gentle rose, dove gray, and pale gold. Guided projects include crafting shell-inspired geometric mandalas, layering translucent color-field paintings, intuitive “automatic” drawings, and contributing to a shared mural. Immerse yourself in symbolism, form, and mindfulness as you explore how shells, shapes, and soft hues can awaken new realms of creative expression.

Basquiat Art Class
This June at Mustard Seed, our Basquiat-Inspired Art Class invites children to explore bold colors, expressive marks, and the power of their own voice through art. Inspired by the legendary Jean-Michel Basquiat, this class celebrates freedom, creativity, and self-expression in a supportive, neurodivergent-affirming space.
